Job Description
We are seeking an IT Support Assistant, to join our close-knit, friendly IT team in Northampton.
This role is a full time office based role but we do understand that flexibility is essential for a good work life balance.
You will be responsible for providing first line IT support and to assist in resolving day to day IT problems/queries in order to ensure that smooth running of the IT systems takes place at all times.
Some of these duties will include:
- To log and maintain calls with both software and hardware maintenance providers ensuring that the calls are responded to within SLAs.
- To be involved in the firm’s new starters and leavers processes ensuring that the procedures for managing these is comprehensive and carried out to the full.
- To be involved in the leavers process with particular focus on closing down all system accounts.
- To resolve day to day IT problems ensuring that all queries are recorded and followed up as necessary.
- Produce good quality documentation and written reports, e.g. how-to guides
- To assist in the implementation of new software packages.
- PC and laptop builds.

A little about you:
· Helpdesk experience is essential
· Working knowledge of using Helpdesk logging software
· Microsoft Exchange 2016+
· Active Directory, Group Policy
· Windows 10
· Microsoft Office 2016+
· iOS Mobile Devices
· Experience of automation systems for deploying PC/Laptops
· Backup Software
· A working and support knowledge of legal software applications
· Good customer service skills
