The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save £1.4 Bn over 10 years.

This is an ambitious and exciting task, for which we need innovative people, with strong commercial acumen, who are passionate about visualising and implementing customer needs. Launched as an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office in 2018, we’re a relatively new department and we are growing fast so we also need people who thrive in ambiguity, can adapt quickly to change and are comfortable stepping outside of their remit to drive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Marketing and Communications team at the Government Property Agency. The team is at the heart of ensuring that GPA is recognised as a public sector property holding company creating great places to work for civil servants.
There are three Marketing and Communications manager roles within the team. Reporting to a G7, the role of the manager is to business partner and work closely with one or more directorates within the GPA to develop and deliver communications plans. The plans will need to be led by objectives, audience, insight and strategy with SMART objectives, and depending on the directorate, they will cover a range of audiences as well as communications disciplines.
Having a good understanding of a range of communications methods and channels will be essential in this role.
We are looking for people with different skills in digital, engagement, event management, press and social media to lead our channels within the team as well as having a role as business partnering.
This is a great opportunity to be an expert in your field but to learn and embrace other communications disciplines to grow your skills and career development. We are a team that wants to work together to deliver and not in silos.
Each manager will also be responsible for gathering metrics and insight from our various channels to ensure all work is evidence based and shows continual learning to our senior leaders.
Essential criteria:
You are expected to be proficient in each of the Government Communication Service (GCS) core competencies to SEO level.
Qualification in a communications discipline.
Desirable criteria:
Membership of a professional marketing or communications body and/or professional marketing qualification is desirable.

Interview
Applicants successful at sift will be invited to interviews. You must be willing to travel to any of the GPA locations for your interview. Interview questions will be a blend of Behaviour, Experience, Strength and Technical (core skill) questions.
At interview, applicants will be scored against 4 behaviours - Working Together, Changing & Improving, Communicating & Influencing, Delivering at Pace.
Candidates may also be asked to prepare a presentation or complete a written exercise at interview.
