Job Description
We are looking for someone who has attention for detail, enjoys working as part of a team and independently. Preferably has previously done the same job and has experience of working amongst vulnerable people preferred, but not essential as all training given. A 'can do' attitude and willing to help and assist others.
To provide maintenance services, in accordance with current best practises, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the manager.
To action planned and reactive maintenance issues as in terms of urgency
Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of maintenance implementation and delivery.
Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards.
Systematically solve day to day problematic issues which arise.
Ensure the service users rights are protected. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the home.
Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the services quality assurance programme.
Cooperate with the implementation evaluation orientation and induction of all knew employee.
To take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertaking relevant training.
To maintain maintenance skill at a current level and to undertake such training and development that may from time to time be required in order to maintain up to date knowledge.
Qualification requirement –
RQF Diploma/HNC/City and guilds in Maintenance or building services
Skills required –
Proficient written skills - Ensure accurate legible maintenance schedules are completed and maintained. Assist in the formulation and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures.
Communication skills - Good English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with service users and their visitors attend heads of department meeting to represent maintenance
Building maintenance Skills - previous experience of working in a similar environment. Previous experience of working in a maintenance role. Previous employment in the building trade. Experience of working with service users who have additional support needs.
