Scheme Delivery Framework
The National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF), established in 2021, brings together 50 supply chain partners to carry out up to £3.6 billion worth of renewals to keep England's motorways and major A roads running safely and smoothly over a 6 year period.
The Scheme Delivery Framework supports the delivery of National Highways' sustainability goals across its renewals programme. It limits repeat maintenance, reducing the exposure of the workforce to traffic and reduces the overall cost of maintaining the network.
Current projects include:
Lydiate Ash
Works in an existing National Highways depot in Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove, adjacent Junction 4 of the M5 Motorway. The works include the demolition of an existing Salt Barn, the installation of Contig Pile Retaining wall to lower the levels within the depot and to install a new Salt barn at the lower level.
