About the role
Working closely with the operations team, the Assistant Operation’s Manager will tie up the administrative function of the operations team to ensure that the business and its core systems continue to operate efficiently with minimal interruptions and that issues are dealt with in a timely fashion, whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. You will need to develop a wide skillset where you are able to pick up any of the roles within the operations team from time to time.
The role of the Assistant Operations Manager is varied and will grow and flex with the needs of the business.
Our offices are in a remote location with no public transport routes nearby, therefore it is preferable that applicants hold a current driving licence and their own means of transport.
Your duties will include:
- Database management – assets, clients, projects and suppliers.
- Facilities maintenance planning and delivery
- Sustainability measurement for external projects
- Office management
- Procedure and systems improvement
- Transport management
- Project resourcing & support
- Purchase ordering
- Supply chain management
- Freelancer database management
- Supplier inductions.
- Health and Safety administration as and when support is required.
- Construct schedules and budgets for internal projects and present for approval
We are looking for someone who:
- Is forward thinking and able to identify opportunities for the department and company to move towards.
- Is capable of starting and completing projects on their own and that the projects are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Has an ability to manage and implement change quickly.
- Is organized, adaptable, personable, and capable
Experience & Qualifications
- Operational and/or Site and Office management experience.
- Strong Administration experience
We actively encourage ongoing skills development and will support with both on and offsite training courses and qualifications.
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday), Permanent.
Salary: Starting salary £35k - £40k pa
