Position Summary
The Nespresso team are recruiting for a talented B2C Finance Channel Controller to be the business partner for the Heads of the E-Commerce and Retail channels, providing reporting, forecasting and analysis of topline performance and underlying cost base. Reporting to the B2C Controller, you will support value/wealth creation through identifying and modelling investment opportunities in line with the strategic direction of the business.

A day in the life of a Finance Channel Controller...
Ultimately you will be responsible for building close relationships across our Retail and Ecommerce departments to understand the business need and financial impact whilst driving alignment with key stakeholders including commercial, supply chain, and finance decision support teams. You will also:
- Ensure proper cost allocation across the retail network.
- Identify potential investment opportunities and cost efficiencies, and build business cases.
- Drive reporting and forecasting development (including channel P&L), standardisation, and transition to Business Analytics solutions.
- Review and understand paid search and other investments driven by the E-commerce department.
- Align with B2C and Marketing Controllers to ensure income and spend are correctly reflected in forecasts.
- Support IT team to ensure costs correctly forecast and controlled.
What will make you successful?
You will an Accountant, qualified or part-qualified with some great experience working in a Finance function of a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company under your belt, ideally within in a commercially-facing or controller role. You will be able to demonstrate examples of delivering initiatives and/or driving change. If you have eCommerce and direct to consumer experience this would be desirable.
You will also have:
- Good proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of BI preferred
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Great communication skills that enable influencing at all levels of the business
- Good team working skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a breadth of customers and stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Good organizational and planning skills - able to work independently and prioritise workload
- Ability to challenge effectively
- Ability to develop financial awareness of others across the organisation
