About Us
Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. We aim to provide an outstanding personalised service to each guest who stays, spas, golfs and dines and with us, acknowledging special occasions and making them memorable for all guests. We are currently seeking a Deputy Restaurant Manager to join our Nu Sana restaurant team!
The Role
The main responsibilities of the Deputy Restaurant Manager role will be (but not limited to):
- Under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service is consistently delivered in the restaurants and bar
- to ensure that our guests are provided with a friendly, professional and unobtrusive service during their dining experience.
- Ensure service recovery issues are handled in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure the team are familiar with the products and services available across the department and resort
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with the recruitment and selection process of new team members, ensuring they receive an in-depth company and department induction
- Conduct regular job chats and annual appraisals, ensuring objectives and development plans are set for all team members
- Identify training needs within the team through observation and customer feedback and develop appropriate training plans
- Provide focus, direction and co-ordination to the team to ensure that the guest journey is seamless, and delivers the 5 star experience
- Ensure guests in all areas are treated to a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure
