An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Requirements Planning Controller within Rolls Royce Defence. As a Material Requirements Planning Controller you will be playing an important role within a Supplier Management Team responsible for the performance of the external supply chain.
Working within the SMT you, will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of external suppliers. You will drive on time delivery through effective planning whilst maintaining ERP and supporting systems ensuring a robust supplier governance structure across the SMT.
You will identify, prioritise, mitigate, and resolve delivery issues that may impact the customer for your portfolio of suppliers. You will maintain the executive ERP system with relevant current data and information.

What you will be doing:

To be the primary interface with allocated suppliers, co-ordinating all improvement activities associated with planning, organise, inventory, delivery and lead time.

To support business reviews with suppliers ensuring that both the suppliers and Rolls-Royce requirements are being met considering the impact of Quality and Delivery. Ensuring there is a robust supplier governance structure across the SMT.

To ensure specified supplier delivery commitments are reflected in SAP, coaching adherence of schedule lines to ensure delivery to plan.

To ensure the maintenance of component planning data and dynamic data that will enable cascade of demand through the supply chain resulting in a committed plan.

Have a working knowledge of the load and capacity factors that could potentially affect the supply chain’s ability to deliver the plan and offer mitigations to alleviate these.

Ensure the ERP system is maintained with robust & credible data that supports the delivery of the customers’ demands.

Interface with internal customers at delivery reviews co-ordinating the resolution of actions across the SMT.

Experience with external supply chain including supplier management.

Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.

Demonstrated ability to ensure deliveries and make balanced business strategies under challenging ambiguous circumstances.

Understanding of different roles / functions / processes ( Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, Quality ).

Understand of manufacturing processes.

Experience of production planning and associated control processes.

Understanding and application of improvement tools ( Green Belt ).
