Job Description
Please note this role can be offered on a hybrid working basis. Candidates must work 2-3 days per week from one of the following offices:

Our AWS Cloud Support engineers are there to provide 24x7x365 support to our customers base covering day to day incidents, change and release management activities along with supporting our customers across a variety of projects.
The varied workload spans across the main cloud technologies Azure, OCI, AWS and GCP.
This is a really exciting time to be joining NEC has we look to adopt the cloud as our default hosting platform. As a cloud engineer you will be at the for front of technology and will be ideally positioned to drive change, automation and innovations as we move through our journey to cloud.
Responsibilities:

Responding to alerting providing incident management
-
Day to day management of customer workloads
-
Optimisation of cloud buildouts for cost and performance
-
Working directly with our customers on a daily basis
-
Providing excellent levels of customer service
-
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rota
-
Keeping up to date with cloud best practices and developments
-
Produce detailed reporting around compute and cost requirements
-
Configure cloud role, Custom roles permissions
Qualifications
-
Previous experience supporting/administering public cloud services
-
Any cloud certifications, at the associate or administrator level (Architect would be advantageous)
-
Experience in administering/troubleshooting Linux and/or Windows servers
-
Automation through Ansible and Terraform
-
Command-line configuration/troubleshooting knowledge
-
Good problem-solving skills
-
Able to work on your own initiative and as a part of a team
-
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
-
The ability to manage a varied and busy workload
