About The Job
Salary: £35,411 to £38,296 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Contract Length: Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2024
Location: County Hall North, Horsham with the requirement to travel across the programme delivery area of West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton.

We’re looking for resilient and passionate Project Delivery Officers to be a key component of the Changing Futures Programme team, providing a strong link from their respective Local Authority hosts to the programme team and vice versa.
As a Project Delivery Officer, you will:
- Manage your own tasks and work closely with the central programme team.
- Have a high-level communication and negotiation skills, and a good understanding of the internal workings of an upper tier local authority.
- Have patience and resilience, excellent organisational skills.
- A determination to succeed, a constructive and pragmatic approach to overcoming challenges.
- Manage internal relationships and coordination on internal stakeholder communications.
- Participate in relevant partnership forums and programme working groups.
- Implement programme initiatives, workstreams and data collection.

Experience and Skills
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders; to form and maintain effective working relationships and provide coaching to clients/colleagues on project processes.
- Sound partnership working skills with the ability to develop and manage effective links and relationships across and outside of the organisation and co-ordinate a range of partners to successfully deliver objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues, planning solutions and making sound pragmatic decisions which will have a direct impact on the business/service.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations in a measured and flexible manner in order to adapt the service provided to suit any change in circumstance whether legislative, structural, partnership related, etc.
- A willingness to work flexibly and creatively within the host authority as well as with colleagues in the central programme team.
Qualifications and/or experience:
- Degree level education or equivalent level of experience.
- Experience of robust data collection, monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant current and developing policy and practice, including funding arrangements.
- Sound and accurate working knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Project.
- Finance experience with developed numeracy skills; knowledge and use of finance systems and databases.
- Detailed knowledge of the service landscape relevant for people suffering multiple disadvantage.
- Demonstrable evidence of supporting continuous improvement and strategic development to a range of clients through successful project delivery.
- Demonstrable experience of working as a competent member of a project team, delivering projects, managing change and effectively supporting the resources required to deliver the objectives and supporting strategic development in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience and confidence in dealing with people and the ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organisation both with internal and external contacts.
