Estimator
£30000
Key Responsibilities:
· Reviewing and analysing project plans, specifications and other relevant documents to develop cost estimates
· Soliciting bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
· Identifying and quantifying project risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
· Assisting in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients
· Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all estimates
· Keeping up to date with industry trends and changes that may affect cost estimates
· Providing guidance and support to junior team members
· Prepare a complete quantity take-off of projects
Qualifiactions:
· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings
· Experience using Bluebeam or another estimating software
· Excellent people skills
· A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, ACostE, ICES, AACE or similar relevant professional association is desirable.
· Proven Experience of at least 4 years across either Energy, Infrastructure or Industrial sectors.
· HNC, HND or bachelor degree in an industry-relevant subject, which can include civil, structural or mechanical engineering, quantity surveying and construction management
· Experience of working for a Tier 1 contractor
· The ability to reconcile cost information
· Experience of the project and programme lifecycle. (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes)
