SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK are looking for a HR Director.
As our sector and organisation faces an exciting period of evolution and growth it is vital that HR develops its strategic capability and capacity to support the operational business in meeting the challenges associated with our ambitious 2030 growth targets.
This position attracts a salary to £120,000 a generous car allowance (£12k +) and 30% bonus.
In order to enhance HR's contribution to the business, it is critical that we invest in developing its strategic capabilities and transform our HR Operational capacity.
We recognise that we need to ensure that we shape, build and continuously evolve the critical elements of our employee experience through enhanced communication, culture, and strategic change to ensure our people are engaged with our business vision and purpose and evolving strategy.
What will I be doing?
As our HR Director you will design, deploy and embed a people strategy that ensures our D&I, wellbeing and engagement approach becomes embedded as part of our culture. Your challenge will be to ensure that what we do from an employee experience perspective is relevant, impactful and will embrace positive change across our varied employee demographic and geographies.
You’ll be adept at assessing and testing the employee lifecycle, including systems, policies, communications, benefits, induction and development in order to measure the impact on employee experience. You’ll lead the HR Senior Leadership team to design & deploy the key messages that we want our people to hear and creatively find ways to share these messages with everyone.

What are the requirements?
- CIPD Qualified at Level 7
- Experience of leading a HR function in a large matrix organisation
- A strong leader, with strategic development and implementation experience, you must have the ability to drive and deliver change management across a diverse team.
- You will have experience of managing a HR function across multiple geographies in a large matrix style organisation. (3,000+ employees ideally)
- Knowledgeable in all areas of HR including operational delivery, financial control, legislative compliance, comp & bens & resourcing. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of designing, deploying and delivering a people strategy aligned to the operational needs of the business.
