Logistics Controller
Location: Templecombe

The services we provide to customers are dependent directly and indirectly on exchange of goods and documents, both within Thales and with its customers or service partners. Logistics plays an important role in supporting manufacturing, enabling support functions and Thales’ service delivery.
Thales UK is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and professional to assist with co-ordinating all logistical resources in a timely and efficient manner in support of its Belfast product delivery ensuring compliance with all security and legislative constraints.
Primary Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will support the delivery cycle to meet customer expectations, liaise and interface with the 4PL provider and support the Customer Asset Store processes. A passion for customer delivery will be important along with a key motivation for compliance.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Ensure the 4PL solution is executing business priorities.
Be the point of escalation to and drive collaborative improvement with the 4PL provider.
Manage process compliance and improvements within the logistics delivery cycle.
Support Stock Reconciliation activities with the 4PL provider.
Support the efforts in controlling and managing Customer Assets.
Develop and provide information and management reports as required.
Support the Logistics Manager as and when required in the execution of their duties.
About You:
Essential
Knowledge of Logistics, Warehousing and Inventory practices.
Experience in management and use of large ERP Systems (ideally Oracle).
Able to prioritise tasks and understand when to escalate issues.
Manage complex priorities, able to deliver key goals and objectives.
Effective communicator and confident in dealing with all levels of management.
Eligible to obtain SC security clearance.
Ability to work alone or within a team environment.
Desirable:
Detailed knowledge and experience of the Oracle ERP system, particularly the Manufacturing and/or Inventory Management areas of the system.
Experience in continuous improvement, problem solving and change management in an Industrial environment.
Awareness of ITAR/EAR Trade Compliance.
Candidate must be eligible to obtain Full SC clearance without restrictions
