With over 270 destinations across the globe, our businesses not only bring people together but also support the prosperity of the regions in which we operate.
The safety of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, and every colleague has a unique opportunity to contribute as we help families, businesses and cargo connect around the world.
We are ambitious for our airports, investing in the infrastructure our airports need to grow beyond pre-pandemic levels over the coming years. We are always on the lookout for new ways we can add value for customers as they travel, as well as seeking opportunities to work smarter and collaborate more.
We’re all here on a journey ourselves, striving every day to help make air travel smoother, more seamless, connecting more people and goods with the world. As a team, we recognise the importance of what we do, supporting one another along the way. Together, we are the Journey Makers.
The Test Manager role
One of our strategic programs of work is developing a full digital stack using cutting edge, front end technologies, a systems integration strategy to create a loosely coupled, modular, best-of-breed component architecture and an event driven architecture, all aligned with MAG’s strategic aims and growth plans. This will allow greater flexibility in product selection and faster more agile delivery and deployment of new solutions and systems thereby delivering a continually improving service to passengers and partners at a lower cost to MAG. One of the foundations of this transformation requires the implementation of a robust software testing capability within MAG. This will enable confidence within our in-house built solutions or 3rd party integrations, which ultimately will enable CI/CD practices, and increase velocity, time to market and revenue growth.
As a Test Manager in MAG, you’ll be immersed in our engineering team and work on multiple projects. You’ll be responsible for managing the development of and maintenance of automation frameworks, test scripts and test reporting and ensure quality whilst enabling the business to deliver change at pace, change direction and get product to market more quickly.
What will make you a successful Test Manager?
You’ll have the knowledge and experience of using a mix of quality test methodologies and knowing when to apply them, as well as experience with automation as part of the delivery cycle, i.e., framework design, test creation, execution against iteration deliverables. You’ll be experienced in reviewing business/software requirements and providing inputs, plus experience of successfully co-ordinating with other managers to ensure the highest level of software quality. You’ll have an excellent understanding of the STLC and different types of testing such as functional, Integration, UAT as well as experience of Test Automation using test frameworks with Cypress, Selenium, Appium, etc and also experience across API testing (Rest assured, Pact and Postman). You’ll have experience of agile methodologies such as Test-Driven development, Behaviour-Driven Development, agile, scrum and testing in an agile environment. You’ll also have Performance / Load testing experience using JMeter, or similar. You’ll be a team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary. Also, not essential, but if you have experience in in Airport Management Solutions and ISTQB Certification and AWS Certifications, that would be desirable.
