As a Stock Controller, you will be working alongside an established team of Stock Controllers and PI team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse operation.
The Main responsibilities of a Stock Controller will range from:
- Offsite storage receipt & re-checks, pick queries
- Sin bin clearance and completion and recording of cyclical PI counts
- Various daily functions such as pick slot rotation, system maintenance and the production of daily and weekly reports
- Take ownership of various projects within the operation such as warehouse layout reviews and seasonal stock placement
- Proactively looking for and implementing changes and improvements to current processes

- To ensure that I process required stock checks, pick queries, Zone Manager tasks & queries, and PI Counts following company procedures
- Working with the operation to ensure smooth and efficient flow of stock from Inbound to Outbound
- To strive to assist my fellow colleagues in their daily duties, creating a culture of teamwork.
- To be diligent in ensuring that each article and its packaging is treated with the respect and arrives to store in a good condition
- To effectively communicate with my peers and managers any ideas that will assist with the ‘Keeping it simple’ principle of the process within the organisation
- To Ensure that I achieve the KPI’s in which I am given so that the business can grow, which will in turn offer me security and potential my own personal growth within the organisation
Customer Focus:
- To actively follow the companies process with regards to reporting damaged goods before getting to store
- To ensure that I liaise with the colleague council representatives (or to become a representative) to establish business information and ideas that will be put forward during the colleague council meetings
- To actively listen during the shift briefings to the important business information that is communicated to me and to then take into consideration how this will affect me
- To report areas of concern that will affect the KPI’s within the business
- To assist new employees in their settling in period within the organisation by being a ‘Buddy’ at time when required
- Produce daily and weekly reports, assist with pick slot rotation, and system maintenance.

- To actively join in and offer assistance in activities that take place within the organisation e.g. charity days, social events, Christmas Party, Family Fun Day
- To assist in creating the right ‘Culture’ for the organisation by being helpful and knowledgeable
