The Quarterdeck

The Quarterdeck is on the beautiful island of Alderney and we are looking for a Kitchen assistant to join our small, fun team. We have been open for six months and due to popularity we are expanding our team.
Your duties would include supporting the chef in prep and service times, also taking responsibility for the cleanliness of the kitchen.
This new nautically themed restaurant is on the upper floor of a new building housing the Mainbrayce Chandlery in the inner harbour.
We will have 24 covers inside and 18 on an outside deck. In the summer the clientele will include local residents, tourists and visiting yacht crews, and in the winter mainly locals.
We will be open for lunches and evening meals from Tuesday to Saturday and closed on Sunday evenings and all day Monday. We close for 6 weeks in January, but these opening times may change with demand. Working hours may vary but probably approximately 45 per week. Accommodation is available in our nearby staff house.
Salary will be negotiable, depending on experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that wants to learn about the day to day operations of a restaurant kitchen, while getting to live on the beautiful island of Alderney.
