An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Somerset Environment Company, based at our Depot in Weston-super-Mare.
We are looking for a professional individual to join our finance team at this exciting time, as we go into our third year of incorporation. You will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the finance function as it evolves and develops to support the growing business. This diverse role will report directly to the Finance and Business Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Processing manual and electronic invoicing, billing, and payroll information to an accurate standard
- Responsible for the processing and inputting of payment runs and maintaining reconciled accounts
- Promote a good working relationship between suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues
- Keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques
- Maintain excellent standards of organisation and housekeeping, both in the office and with paper and electronic filing systems
About you:
- Proven financial or accounting experience
- Able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment and to deadlines
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and reliable
- The ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and efficient manner
- Experience with Xero accounting system (or similar) is desirable
