As Facilities Maintenance Technician you’ll be responsible for the technical maintenance and operation of M&E building services within our premises in London.

This role is part of Business Services, in the Resilience & Agility Community, responsible for our Nationwide properties, employee facing services that support the day to day running of our operations, our workplace strategy and delivery service and regulatory communications to our members.
This is a new role in our Property Services team to work alongside other maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our buildings. This is a 35 hour per week contract with overtime and on-call options available.

From maintaining our water hygiene to fixing our lights, you’ll be in charge of making our office environment the best it can be for our colleagues and visitors.
You’ll work closely with your fellow maintenance colleagues, as well as our wider Property Services team.
We’ll need great communication skills as you’ll be interacting with colleagues and visitors as a representative of Property Services.
One of your initial goals in the first six months will be to build and understanding of how to maintain and operate our premises M&E assets under the support and guidance of your existing team members.
- Required and relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications and experience e.g., minimum level 3 in Engineering Maintenance and /or installation with a preference for apprentice qualified with significant practical experience as a qualified engineer.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and hardware
- Monitoring, operating, and reporting of ‘environmental’ equipment, including air-conditioning, UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), generator, dry cooler, fire alarm systems etc.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate at all levels including members and employees.
