This role is based in the North East region.
Overall responsibility for the day to day management of contractors and consultants and implementation of group processes associated with shopfitting works in existing stores.
Project types predominantly (but not exclusively) associated with the existing store portfolio and to be of a refurbishment, rebrand and maximisation nature and all ,generally, undertaken whilst maintaining store operations.
Your role:
- To provide specialist knowledge and technical input at the project briefing meetings, providing the relevant information that forms the project briefing documents and associated budget cost plan.
- Work with the project team to define project briefs, and prepare the tender documentation.
- Oversee the tendering process of the shopfitting works to appropriate contractors and reconcile tenders and procure the works.
- Proactive management of shopfitting refurbishments/rebrands for the existing store portfolio, ensuring all works are successfully completed to the highest standards in the most timely and cost effective manner possible whilst usually maintaining store operations.
- Represent the joint interest of Specsavers & Joint Venture Partners (JVP’s) in defining, procuring and leading shopfitting works, forging strong working relationships with individual store JVP’s and maintaining the operating estate in optimum condition for purpose in the most cost-effective way.
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive building works project /maintenance works experience required, preferably in a client/consultant management role.
- H&S accreditation ideally to IOSH standard
- Experience in retail or leisure environments, ideally on the client-side.
- Sound knowledge of all related regulations and legislation/processes for acquiring Local Authority/statutory and other consents. #L1-JW1
