Looking for a weekend job that's packed with the feel good factor that you'd struggle to find anywhere else? If you're caring, reliable and have a good sense of humour, you could be just who we're looking for to complete our amazing #TeamCraigewan in Peterhead, on a permanent part-time (12.5 hours per week) basis.
The Role
Craigewan is a purpose-built facility which is home to 11 individuals with learning disabilities, all living in their own self-contained flats. The great thing about this job is that two days are never the same. As a Support Practitioner you'll provide support with all elements of normal every day living, including cooking, housework, finances and medication.
You'll also play a huge part in supporting individuals to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community. Some of their hobbies and interests include baking, arts & crafts, hair & beauty treatments, pool, model trains & boats, walking, swimming & attending social events and concerts.
About You
At Cornerstone we don’t recruit on experience and qualifications. We’re more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We’ll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need to build an amazing career within the Health & Social Care sector. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!
All we'll need you to bring is: -
-
Good listening and communication skills
-
A caring attitude and approach
-
A positive approach to learning
-
An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
-
The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
Some of the people we support have their own cars so it would be great if you had a full clean UK driving licence but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
Shift Patterns
Your hours will usually be spread over a Saturday & Sunday each week on a rolling rota basis: -
Week 1
-
Saturday 8.30am-4pm
- Sunday 4pm-9pm
Week 2
- Saturday 4pm-9pm

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today; we'd love to hear from you!
We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible so reserve the right to withdraw our advert if we find suitable candidates before our closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
