Our Store Managers are dedicated to making our customers happy every time they shop with us. If you can empower your team to build an even better retail experience for everyone, then you’re in

Taking responsibility for P&L, KPIs, safety & risk, and ensuring all in-store departments perform, you’re not afraid to be hands-on, with a visible presence across the store and a dedication to excellence that takes colleagues with you on the mission to delight customers every day.

You’re comfortable making key decisions quickly while prioritising customer experience, and you excel at engaging colleagues so that they’re empowered to deliver too. You know leading a team and serving thousands of customers every single week is a big responsibility. In reward for your dedication, you’ll have autonomy over your shift patterns. Of course, you’ll need to cover peak periods throughout the week and at the weekend, but there’s plenty of opportunity to match your hours to your life commitments. Salary will be dependent upon your experience as well as the store size, complexity and location. Alongside this, we also offer a great range of benefits for our store managers, including:

  • An annual bonus scheme based on our, and your, performance.
  • Discount card – provided after 4 weeks that gives you and a second user 10% on most items in Sainsbury’s, Argos and Habitat. Discount is increased at Sainsbury’s to 15% every pay day for five days plus 15% at Argos on every pay day.
