Book-Keeper & Business Support
Flexible, part-time, self-employed, remote-working role, to support a mixed enterprise rural estate. Ideally you will have book-keeping, customer service and administrative experience. Hourly rate subject to experience. Duties are varied, requiring a range of personal and professional skills, including:
All book-keeping, including payroll (for two employees), sales and purchase invoices, bank payments, reconciliations, VAT returns, following up debts, provision of financial information to partners and accountants, etc.
Lettings management for two holiday properties plus sporting lets, including reactive and proactive liaison with customers, partners' family, staff and agents before, during and after bookings, profile and marketing, researching and advising partners re pricing, managing the lettings calendar, over-seeing contract house-keeping, cleaning and laundry, etc.
Administration, including customer notes for the holiday properties, staff documents such as timesheets, manuals and instructions etc, utility contract and insurance renewals, business rates and grants, assist agent and staff with property and equipment servicing and certification, assist partners and staff with ordering/purchasing basic supplies, appliances, furnishings, etc.
You must be IT literate (eg Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word) - experience with Xero accounting software is desirable.
You must have excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with the partners and family, customers, agents, contractors and staff. You must be well-organised, conscientious, reliable and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.
