Mypower are a multi-award-winning team, leading the way in renewable energy installations for the South-West and beyond. Based in the North of Gloucestershire, we design, supply, and install bespoke Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems for large-scale companies specialising in commercial, industrial, and agricultural businesses.
Following our National Solar PV installer & contractor of the Year award, and the significant growth we've seen in 2022, we're seeking a talented individual to join our team to ensure we stay at the top of our game in 2023 and beyond.

We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to manage our in-house installation team, electricians, and operational support team, ensuring operational delivery is completed efficiently, to a high standard and to a high standard of health and safety.
Candidate Profile:
Must haves:
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for the team.
- Outstanding organisation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and organise under time pressure.
- MUST have leadership and management experience.
- MUST have Health & Safety management/assessment experience.
- MUST have people management experience.
Ideally will have, but not critical:
- Ideally has electrical engineering background/commercial electrical experience.
- Ideally has quality management, standards and process management experience.
- Ideally have 1-2 years of commercial solar PV experience.
- Ideally educated to degree level.
Key Tasks:
· HEALTH & SAFETY: Manage and be accountable for ensuring Mypower adheres to all required H&S requirements, maintaining any relevant accreditations with the objective of zero H&S incidents. Select and work with outside consultants where required.
· TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT: Lead and manage the Operational Support and Installation teams. Identifying resource gaps/opportunities and recruitment and training needs. Ensure we have a highly motivated team that delivers high-quality and efficient installations to impeccable health and safety standards.
· QUALITY MANAGEMENT: Working with the Post-Installation Manager & Sales & Project Management Director to implement improvements to the working practices of the Installation Teams and to minimise repeat post-install issues.
· WAREHOUSE & STOCK CONTROL:Responsible and accountable for this function by reviewing existing, creating, implementing, and managing new procedures.
· SCHEDULING, RESOURCE AND MATERIALS ORDER MANAGEMENT: Develop and manage post-order pre-installation processes, including management of ordering equipment, scaffolding and plant, and scheduling/planning installations.
