As part of the CITO (IT), our Innovation Architects bring cross-industry expertise, commitment, and resources to drive a transformational program that leads to new digital business models. They engage with our most strategic business leaders (across Dyson) through the three elements of the digital transformation journey - strategic, technical, and cultural, so that our business and technology leaders can continue to innovate on their own. Innovation Architects engage with the C-Suite and Regional Leaders, demonstrating thought leadership and ensuring buy-in and trust at the highest levels in Dyson.
The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, a principled approach to broad digital transformation challenges and opportunities including strong leadership and people skills.
Our Innovation Architects also share a common set of characteristics and bring the experience that will drive innovation and customer value leveraging the following:
Customer and Industry Insights: act as a thought leader with deep coaching and industry expertise related to our customers. Coach teams to articulate and understand specific industry-related market trends, as well as customer threats, opportunities, and barriers to growth as they relate to the customer's broader industry.
Digital Strategy, Scoping and Orchestration: frame new opportunities through a transformational program of change. Identify the right industry partners to drive this customer digital transformation journey and provide end-to-end governance from value discovery to value realisation to accelerate value creation for our customers.
Trusted Advisor: work with our customers to envision transformational opportunities and develop a robust business case to instigate decision-making. Act as the voice of the customer towards our teams across all levels of the organization.
Sales/GTM Enablement: support Dyson IT teams in working with our business leaders on their strategic big deals and programmes as well as helping to shape strategic partnerships that drive our business consumption pipeline.
Hold a degree in a computing-related discipline
Extensive experience as a thought leader with executive presence, strong credibility, including ability to hold discussions at Director, CxO and board level.
An experienced architect with the ability to span both business and technical domains.
Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of business leaders using exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
Strong experience managing technology-enabled business change within one or more industries (retail, manufacturing, health, government, or financial services).
Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational execution and delivery, including the coordination of relevant resources
Ability to conceptualise, launch and plan the delivery of digital-enabled business change projects.
Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve.
Continue to acquire new skills and drive for results, ability to become an advocate for Dyson’s vision and IT value proposition, and diverse offerings, by conceptualising, planning, and leading implementation/adoption of state of the art and off the shelf technologies.
Proven experience in a consulting firm driving customer digital business outcomes is desirable.
