DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP - ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER
This role is within our Public Protection and Environmental Health Service. You will study a degree level qualification at university commencing September 2023 year. On days when not attending taught classes you will work in the team supporting all the environmental health functions. These include food safety, health and safety at work, public health, housing and environmental protection.
Building on the taught knowledge of the degree, you will develop the practical skills of an Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP), while learning from and supporting experienced professionals. Upon successful completion of the four-year degree programme, you would have the opportunity to gain professional status as an EHP.
It will be a condition of any employment offer that you are accepted onto the degree programme. Support will be provided to liaise with the university for the application.

Your starting salary will be £9.18 an hour in your first year. During your second year you will remain on this amount or the minimum wage for your age, whichever is higher.
