Dearborn Estates is offering a unique opportunity for someone with experience within the luxury hospitality sector to apply 5* service and hosting within a design led event space to achieve truly exceptional experiences for our customers at our Cotswolds venue, Hyde House.
We are looking for a brilliant individual to join our team, someone with energy and excellent attention to detail, to lead our wedding & event planning team. The ideal candidate with be a dynamic, proactive and a detail focused leader who can define the customer experiences throughout their planning from enquiry to event.
The role will work closely with the Hyde House & Dearborn Estates Senior Leadership teams, to achieve the highest level of service and standards within the industry.
Responsibilities include:
· Team leadership, training, and support
· Organising team rotas
· Ensuring the group standards are always met through venue presentation and all customer communication
· Full management of the customer experience, including hosting, managing complaints, and escalating where necessary
· Working with couples from booking to the wedding day including viewings, oversight of all wedding function sheets and on the day details, hosting planning meetings, organising tastings, hotel bedroom allocations, table plans, final invoicing and reporting
· Excellent knowledge of our products and services, including drinks packages, menus and upsells
· Working to sales and upsell targets
· Proactive sales to ensure the highest conversation rates from upsells and enquiries
· Progressing the site and working with the Group Operations Manager (GOM) and Event Operations Manager (EOM) to ensure the excellent execution of our events
· Working with the wider team to ensure a seamless handover for on the day event management
· Identifying and escalating maintenance issues and dealing with these where necessary
· Working with the GOM to source, support and develop customer supplier relationships
· Working with the GOM to organise, oversee and host internal events and working to set budgets
· Working with the GOM on marketing plans to ensure revenue growth and industry progression
Key Skills
· High level understanding of exceptional customer service
· Strong background in luxury functions and events
· Good leadership and communication skills
· Proficiency in MS Office
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work flexibly across all aspects of events, including weekends and evenings
