- Hours of work: 40
- Dayshift Monday - Friday 0620-1520hrs
- Pay rates: Starting pay £11.11 rising to £12.11 on completion of Slaughter licence.
Main Responsibilities
- Hanging birds on shackles, taking care to cause minimal discomfort
- Identify birds of wrong size and do not hang on line
- Remove birds from line after 3 minutes if machinery fails
- Monitor the birds as they pass through the production line
- All other duties deemed appropriate as part of job
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal Production Operative will have passion for delivering our customer orders whilst making sure our high Health and Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality standards are met.
You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment.
We are a fast moving business so you need to enjoy working at pace and have determination to take action and achieve results.
Previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment would be useful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
About The Company
UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to consumers via major retailers. Our colleagues work across ten primary sites across the UK, where chickens are transported from nearby farms for processing and at our cutting sites prepared for portioning, deboning, and filleting. UK Poultry predominantly produces private-label products for major retailers. We know our proficiency is in processing, so we work with experts in other fields such as: hatching, farming, animal husbandry and transport to ensure that our supply chain is as effective and efficient as possible.
