Job Title: Yard Operative (Full and Part Time available)
Location: BCA Paddock Wood
Salary: £10.40 an hour
Full Time - 40 hours a week (flexible hours discussed at interview)
Part Time - 20 hours a week (flexible hours discussed at interview)

Main purpose of the job:
To assist with the daily operations of a busy auction centre through driving and parking various types of vehicles around the yard. Due to the size of our Auction Centres our Yard Driving roles may require a lot of walking and being on your feet through out the day in all types of weather conditions.
Main responsibilities:
- Store and park all vehicles on site between the yard and the auction halls, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the auction halls in accordance with the notified sale day programme.
- Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys.
- Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle.
- Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed, on-site training provided.
- Line and lot vehicles for auction, ensuring they are neat, tidy, and presentable for auction.
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met.
Skills and experience required:
- Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
- Be physically fit as the role involves a lot of walkig
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines
- Willingness to help other departments out when needed
