We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised School Office Lead for our busy school office.
Hawthorne Primary School are looking to appoint a School Office Manager. We are looking for someone who can provide organisation, who has good communication and the skills to liaise and work alongside parents, staff and multi-agencies. They should have a good financial background, good HR skills and excellent IT skills. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Hawthorne Primary School is a one form entry primary school located in the centre of an ex-mining village. It is positioned in a delightful setting; a stone’s throw from Bestwood Country Park. Our new school building opened in September 2019 and it has fantastic facilities for our staff and children.
Hawthorne Primary & Nursery School, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest-performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

Your core duties will be:

Manage the busy School Office day to day
-
Manage the school budget in collaboration with the Headteacher
-
Manage supplier contracts for the school
-
Purchase items and monitor spend on behalf of all departments

Provide customer service to all pupils parents/guardians being the first point of call for all school queries.

Manage HR, including setting up new staff, managing payroll, managing the single central record and organising and maintaining personnel files.
