We have a great opportunity for someone looking to get into marketing / communications. We are a small but growing and friendly agency based at the end of Fleet Street. Reporting directly to the MD they will be central to developing our member engagement going forward and is, therefore, a key member of the team.
Our clients are FMCG brands such as Danone and General Mills. For them, we deliver grocery shopper marketing campaigns direct to our members via an app on their mobile phone or our website.
We need someone who can come and get going quickly to deliver member communications such as email, push notifications etc. The role interacts directly with all members of the team including Commercial, Analysts and Tech. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the centre of a fast-paced and rewarding working environment where your input matters and your impact is obvious.
Generally we work from home on Monday, Thursday and Friday and in the office Tuesday and Wednesday. While you are in induction (probably until Christmas) you would be expected to be in the office on Thursdays as well with other new starters and line managers. Full support will be given to enable home working.
This role is for students who are currently for a Batchelors or Masters and want a 1 years internship as part of their studies.
Role activities will include…
- Creation and delivery of member engagement communications such as email production and mobile push notifications.
- Developing with our marketing agency seasonally themed activity communications such as a Black Friday or Christmas.
- Leading our social media output (focus on Instagram).
- Project managing regular member activities such as surveys & alternative cashout programs.
- Supporting our internal customer service team as the first line of escalation within CheckoutSmart.
- Representing our members in internal discussions & projects eg product development with specific reference to their engagement and communication.
- Writing client communications such as Blog posts, overseeing social media developments and product FAQs.
Our chosen candidate will have…
- Excellent written skills including the ability to write professional, creative materials to a brief for publishing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure fast and efficient delivery of required materials working with our Commercial and Analyst teams.
- Knowledge of Marketing theory (ie likely to be studying Marketing) and ideally have some recent relevant experience, ie proven creative judgement around suitable design elements and appropriate imagery for use in email and blog posts etc.
- A demonstrable proactive and team-led approach to working with others a strong desire to learn and adapt
- The ability to use Office / Google type software including spreadsheets and word processing to a good standard.
- The ability to start in early June 2022 and work for at least 1 year ideally 13 -14 months.
