Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible for general day to day IT stores maintenance, control and movement of stock. The effort includes receiving new goods, formal verification against delivery documentation, asset recording of stock and maintaining stock records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt of stock.
- Goods validation against documentation.
- Storing in agreed stores area.
- Release/reservation of stock, following authorised procedures.
- Stock level reporting.
- Stock management system maintenance.
- Assistance with the stores functions for Bolton and Bristol sites.
- Creates/maintains support process documentation, report information, and metrics.
- Provides a point of reference and source of guidance for other users of the business/functional process. Ensures the timely distribution of information.
- Ensures asset information is accurately maintained.
- Completes data entry and analysis and follows up required actions with the client. Adheres to agreed Service Request Management methodologies and best practices.
- Interface with Service Request, MBDA IM Service Delivery and disposal teams.
- Generates asset reports.
- Support daily operational review(s) as required.
- Identify, investigate and recommend changes in the delivery of services, aimed at reducing cost and improving the quality of service provision to the customer.
- Plan and direct own activities with minimal management supervision.
- Be prepared to work out of hours when required to do so.
- Ensure that all reports are accurate and submitted consistently within set time frames.
- Completion of daily, weekly, monthly stores checklists
- Participation in regular audit activities (both within stores and across sites as necessary)
- Replenishment of stock and counting of stock in storage areas across Stevenage site such as vending machines and additional stores areas.
- Fulfilment of requests from stores, updating receipt of stock into ITSM and asset tools.

- Ability to drive results within tight timeframes. Must be able to deliver results and negotiate changes while working with a cross functional team.
- Ability to effectively influence and negotiate with personnel at various organisational levels.
- Strong analytical, creative problem solving and planning skills to achieve results.
- PC skills (incl. MS Office family, Bespoke applications etc).
- Ability to prioritise, plan and meet deadlines by applying specific project management techniques.
- Ability to handle difficult and demanding customer environments.
