Job Description
This post forms part of the Clinical Systems Team, assisting the Clinical Systems Leads in supporting end users in accessing and using multiple clinical systems.
The post holder will take responsibility for providing support to the Clinical Systems Leads for a complete range of systems validation and will contribute significantly to the development of efficient monitoring routines and reporting outputs.
The post holder will support the effective management of user calls allocated to the team for response and resolution, though the use of our Hornbill system; being responsible for user account creation, password resets, basic configuration and allocate second line support to the relevant Clinical Systems Lead where applicable.
Post holder will maintain the Clinical Systems Team Outlook inbox and will respond to users where applicable.
A major aspect of this role is the prioritisation of own workload; helping ensure that all deadlines are met.

- Be responsible for managing the electronic call logging system, Hornbill, for calls allocated to the Clinical Systems Team
- Undertake first line assessment and resolution of calls, liaising with System Specialist for support and second line support where appropriate
- Be responsible for operating a multitude of clinical and non-clinical systems e.g. HIS, ICE (Order Coms), Ormis, Endosoft and more, to validate and resolve conflicting patient information.
- Be responsible for the generation and production of various reports providing patient based information that requires audit/validation
- Assist in the logging and monitoring of faults/queries to system suppliers
- Attend / participate in Trust training programmes, both within the department and with multi-disciplinary audiences.
- Responsible for the organisation and prioritisation of own work schedules.
- To ensure that all procedures relevant to the post are comprehensively documented and updated regularly in line with new systems and system changes.
- Be required to visit other sites within the trust as part of their duties, and will occasionally be required to work outside normal hours in order to fulfil the business needs of the department.
- Participate along with other members of the team in actioning various error reports e.g. incomplete patient data
- Be responsible for managing user calls in line with Service Level Agreements
- Be responsible for setting up new user accounts following authorisation of completed training
- Be responsible for de-activating user accounts for staff who have left the Trust or who no longer require access
- Support the data quality responsibilities of the Data Quality Department through the identification of data anomalies, provision of appropriate analyses and participation in investigations / audits.
- Perform patient based analyses primarily from key Trust systems using extraction tools where necessary, manipulate extracts where applicable utilising Microsoft Office packages.
