Group Interior Designer (Private Care Home Group) - Highly Competitive Salary
The Excelcare group of care homes has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced interior designer who has led on and finalised a variety of interior design projects.
You will have an exceptional eye for detail and understand what it takes to make a difference throughout our portfolio of nursing and care homes to impact the lives of our residents. We are a privately owned Care Home provider operating for over 30years. We support and care for residents who live in our homes and our aim is for our homes to be their ‘home from home’, so that personal touch and understanding is vital.
The role:
- Reporting to the Director of Sales, Marketing, Engagement & Wellbeing, and liaising directly with the Home Managers to understand their individual needs.
- Based in Bromley, Kent with travel to our home network in the South East (31 homes within 4 regions – South London, Essex, Milton Keynes and Cambridge). Travel expenses are re-imbursed.
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders – Home Managers, the residents and their families to understand individual and overall requirements for the home.
- Working within budgets and controlling spend.
- Responsibility for sourcing and buying materials to keep within budget.
- Sourcing and liaising with existing and new suppliers.
- Negotiating best deals to represent value for money. where required for project plan and delivery.
- Being innovative and creative with an understanding of older people’s care and dementia design constraints, colour schemes, etc.
- Inspect completed works and sign off if satisfactory.
- Managing deadlines and ultimately finalising the projects within agreed timescales.
- Reporting on project plans and provide regular updates to the Chief Operating Officer.
About you:
- Work closely with the home managers and project teams on design concepts, design development and project implementation and delivery.
- Coordinate and deliver creative and inspiring interior design projects for the homes and residents.
- Overseeing product specification and procurement through to project delivery.
- Running estimates, budgets, and schedules for projects.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in the delivery of Interior design projects
- Experience within a care or similar setting would be desirable
- A creative flair
- Experience in design concept and planning
- Strong eye for detail
- Able to work to deadlines
- Strong organiser
- Good IT skills
