Purpose of the Role
We are looking to recruit a person to join our small, friendly and hard working Management Team. The role is to support is in-house in an area that will replace the marketing previously carried out by an external agency.
This role will be exciting and varied with the emphasis placed on social media, retailer visits, marketing events and PR and media.
Key Responsibilities
- Retailer visits to collect information and gain knowledge of product information and/or new stories to create/generate social media engagement for the shopping centre as a whole.
- Frequent postings/links to all our social media platforms.
- Locally, update the shopping centre website. For example with new stores, news items, job vacancies, events and to work with a creative agency on any major website changes.
- Build relationships with local media and together with local team prepare press releases.
- To assist and participate in new ideas/concepts for marketing event and to ensure that these approved events come to fruition within budgets set and within centre guidelines.
- To build relationships with key city partners – for example Marketing Cheshire, Chester Attractions and Chester City BID.
- Support the local team with manning of the Shopping Centre Management Office and telephones to ensure a welcome to all our retailers, customers and guests.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate in their applications examples of experience within the area of the key responsibilities. Some retail knowledge would be helpful but not essential.
Working Hours - 10.00AM until 15.00PM (Tuesday - Friday) inclusive, with flexibility and occasional weekend working.
