The Direct Line Group Auto Services Graduate Programme could be for you.

We're searching for more than just a degree. We need people who are deeply motivated and excited by working in an ever-changing environment. People who can deal with ambiguity, are collaborative, analytical, commercially aware and most of all, that demonstrate the mindsets and behaviours that will support DLG Auto Services’ success now and in the future.

Our eligibility criteria

  • At least a 2:2 undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline or Higher National Diploma (HND) equivalent qualification
  • Flexibility to relocate to any of our UK sites during the programme
  • If you don't already hold a UK driving licence, you would need to commit to obtaining this in the 1st year of the programme

What you'll be doing

You’ll complete a number of different placements within DLG Auto Services.

Your first year will be spent working in one of our Body Shops where you will learn what it takes to run a successful Auto Services operation, gaining practical experience and an understanding of the various skillsets required to repair a customers’ vehicle. You’ll also achieve a professional vehicle repair qualification that will set you up for success in the rest of the programme.

The world of auto repair is evolving at a rapid pace and our Transformation & Engineering Teams are at the cutting edge. You’ll get to know all about the technology changing the industry and see first-hand how we’re utilising new tech in our repair networks to innovate the way we do business and repair customers vehicles.

You’ll have the opportunity to spend time at our brand-new state of the art Technology Centre where you will work collaboratively on trials and experiments that will directly impact the future of our business.

From day one you'll be supported, encouraged and listened to. You'll take ownership of dynamic projects and enjoy on the job training and workshops with leading engineering & automotive organisations. All the while building the skills and knowledge to support you in gaining a permanent role within Direct Line Group Auto Services at the end of the 3 year programme.

Working Hours - You'll work 40 hours per week with shifts dependent on which placement you are completing.

Location – During your first year you will be based in one our body shops located in the midland’s region (Birmingham, East Midlands - Castle Donington, Wednesbury or Warwick).
