We are looking for someone who has in depth knowledge and experience of managing Gas Safety within a Social Housing environment.
As Gas Operations Manager you will act as the Duty Holder for the Gas Safe Registration, and you will ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with all regulatory requirements and in a manner consistent with the Paradigm’s Policy.
Your key responsibilities are to effectively plan and deliver a comprehensive, compliant, safe, value for money service.
This includes:
Circa 11,500 domestic properties & circa 40 commercial/communal sites
Managing a budget of circa £3m
Management of the Direct Labour team and external contractors
Domestic gas heating & hot water servicing, repair and installation programmes
Communal & Commercial gas heating & hot water servicing, repair and installation programmes
Oil & Solid Fuel appliance heating & hot water servicing, repair and installation programmes
Alternative Technologies (including Solar Thermal, Ground Source and Air Source heating) servicing, repair and installation
You must have:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of successfully delivering a gas related service in a Social Housing setting.
Experience of Gas Safe Registration or Duty Holder.
Knowledge of managing budgets and forecasts.
Experience of the management of contractors and sub-contractors.
Experience of the management of quality and audit.
Recognised Health and Safety Qualification e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 4 or IOSH Training or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
Demonstrably an excellent communicator including:
High degree of computer literacy including the core Microsoft Office suite
