Mercy in Action are opening a brand-new boutique charity shop in Little Clarendon Street, Oxford. The Shop is located within a popular area of Oxford, amongst vibrant and exciting cafes, restaurant and independent retailers.

The Role:
As a Sunday Supervisor you will work alongside the Shop Manager to deliver sales targets to generate income for our Charity.
This is a Part time post for 6 per week on a Sunday plus additional cover hours available as required.
You:
You will be passionate about delivering the highest level of shop standards and exceeding customer expectations by providing excellent customer service and a great shopping experience.
You will have excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
You will be responsible and capable as you will be running the store alone or with volunteers.
Come up with new ideas for how to increase profits with support from the Store Manager
Using your creativity maintain a high standard of instore and window displays.
Keeping on top of the management of donated goods and new stock

Mercy in Action is a UK registered charity (1096068) working with children, their families and communities in the UK and the Philippines.
In the UK, our Petra Project provides nurturing homes for young mums and their babies and young people, who would otherwise be facing homelessness. In the Philippines, our work centres around helping children to regain lost years by providing residential care, a schooling program and a drop-in centre for street children. Our professional staff work tirelessly to reunite families and enable them to have a future together.
Our newest Bath-based projects, the Clothesline and Action Pantry, provide food and clothing to local families.
Our growing network of Mercy in Action Charity shops raises essential funds for maintaining and expanding these projects, enabling us to support those most in need.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise sales and gift aid within the shop.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service
- Supervision of volunteers
- Accepting donations
- Promoting the work of Mercy in Action and keeping up to date with Charities work
- Updating shop displays as required once products have sold
- Dressing shop window displays if necessary

Good communication skills

Understanding the work and ethos of MiA
Previous management experience would be advantageous, but training can be provided.
