St Johns Pre-School is looking for a new manager. This is a unique opportunity and St
Johns is looking for an ambitious and focussed leader to continue the high-quality care and provision that is already present at the Pre School.
St Johns Pre-School is located in Colwick in the community centre, with access to a large hall and outdoor space. The Pre-School has recently moved location from
Bakersfield to Colwick and has been in the new setting for just over a year. St Johns has been running for over 40 years. St Johns is a charity-based committee and has a good OFSTED rating. The setting already has a well-established team of highly qualified and dedicated staff whose focus is the welfare of the children entrusted to their care.
We are looking for a skilled person who thrives and shows passion for leading in the
Early Years. A person who shows motivation and creativity to develop young children’s learning and achievements.
Our new manager must have good understanding of a regulatory and practice requirements; staff management; parental engagement and the factors that are important in determining high quality care and learning for young children.
Role Requirements
- A full and relevant level 3 qualification.
- Leadership experience.
- An understanding of leadership and mentoring skills in an early year’s environment.
- Experience of working in a childcare setting.
- Ability to understand the child’s view.
- Ability to act fairly and ethically.
- Ability to focus on results and outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
To supervise and ensure day to day running of the provision.
To manage staff professionalism, well being and training.
To work with the Pre School’s accountant and manage Pupil Premium and overall funding.
To keep policies up to date.
To plan and provide high quality provision for the children of the Pre School to learn from each day.
To lease and work with specialist EYFS teachers, SENCO and any additional outside agencies who support the Pre School.
To meet with the Pre School committee to develop further organisation and running of the Pre School.
