THE ROLE:
As a sales consultant for Sonny's/ JQ Diamonds, you will play a crucial role in assisting the store in delivering its sales targets and achieving its key objectives. Looking to build on your retail and product knowledge, you will be a dedicated and committed team player with a passion for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring everyone has a fantastic experience in our store.
We were recently voted Retail Sales Team of the Year 2021 in the Retail Jeweller’s UK Jewellery Awards and we are looking for someone to join our award-winning sales team.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- Your role is to be the expert guide for our customers, to make a well-informed decision regarding their jewellery purchase or any other jewellery service we may provide. You will help them navigate through our vast selection of jewellery using your jewellery knowledge.
- You will avoid hard-sales tactics - and let your genuine expertise and the quality of the jewellery do the talking. We focus on building long-term customer relationships; therefore, meeting customer expectations at every stage is crucial.
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing in-depth knowledge of the products & the company and conveying this with pride & enthusiasm to customers.
- One-to-one sales and product demonstration
- Ability to up-sell other products and maximise one-to-one sales opportunities.
- Assisting customers through our bespoke design service.
- To work alongside management to maximise profits, exceed client's requirements and set an excellent standard of customer service.
- Converse with clients via the phone and email to drive sales.
- Maintaining the excellent presentation of the jewellery and showroom.
You may be also be required to carry out other tasks under the direction of your manager, senior sales team or the managing director.

Essential Experience / Attributes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Diamond, gemstone, and precious metal jewellery product knowledge.
- Customer-focused, able to handle customer complaints and queries in a highly professional manner.
- Strong administration skills with great attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Capable multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise workload depending on business needs.
- Proven record of achieving sales targets.
- Well presented.
- IT literate.

HOURS:
Mon-Sun 9:00-5:30, 5 days a week, with days subject to change based on business requirements. This is a retail role which requires you to work Weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
