We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our Customer Experience team to provide an effective and responsive housing management service primarily in the Selby, East Riding and York area.
The role
In this varied role you will be responsible for tenancy management of our homes, from letting the properties, managing the estates and dealing with tenancy terminations. Duties also include carrying out communal area inspections, inspecting our estates, untidy gardens, and responding to reports of anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and participating in external meetings.
Being the primary person for your own ‘patch’ you will ensure that our estates are well maintained, you will see that properties are let promptly and efficiently, undertaking ‘health and wellbeing’ assessments and providing viewings to potential customers.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a Housing, Customer Services or administration role
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
A-level standard education or equivalent
The ability to use Microsoft Office as well as a computerised housing management, repair and property database.
An understanding of current issues affecting Housing
Recent experience of working in a housing environment would be an advantage
You must also hold a valid driving licence, have the ability and confidence to drive and have access to a vehicle with appropriate vehicle insurance.
