Job Description
This is a great time to be at LDA Design. We are a 100% employee-owned practice, with firm beliefs in the power of landscape and in the brilliance of the collective. Being employee-owned means everyone at LDA has a say in how the business is run and takes responsibility for its success.
Our work has never been more critical or urgent. We believe in landscape as the essential building block of place, and we are determined to make a difference. We are future-proofing our high streets and towns supporting recovery; making our streets safer, cleaner, greener; connecting people to nature to improve health and wellbeing; and helping to reduce carbon emissions. We are making our voice heard on the climate and nature crises.
We are looking for a talented Revit technician to join our team as supporting role to our BIM Manager.
Due to an increase in BIM projects and a desire to run more projects through the BIM process we have a requirement to expand our central BIM support team. The role will involve working closely with the BIM Manager in supporting the project teams across the business in project management, technical rigor, and process guidance from a BIM perspective. In some cases, the role will be a BIM technical lead role for a given project.
We can offer a varied and exciting portfolio of schemes to work on, including public realm projects which will help transform our cities and towns, addressing issues relating to the climate emergency and biodiversity loss.
If you are an architectural technician, landscape architect or an architect/urban designer with exceptional Revit skills and a proven experience of working as technical lead on BIM projects, we’d love to hear from you.
Key requirements are:
- A flair for design, alongside technical robustness & creativity
- Passionate about the built environment with a genuine interest in how places change and develop.
- Enthusiasm for collaborative working, confidence, and good communication skills
- Experience at designing at different scales, from a bespoke park bench to a new urban quarter.
- Proven advanced skills in with Revit and experience of running projects through BIM processes as a team lead.
- Proven experience of working to Uniclass & COBIe standards
- Familiarity with a variety of CDE’s with BIM360 being an advantage.
- A qualification in landscape architecture or related professions with practical experience within a consultancy environment is desirable.
