In a nutshell
You’ll work across Argos Financial Services (AFS), with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Customer Experience & Product Communications team to write, create and manage original, persuasive, conceptually compelling customer-facing communications, content and experiences.
You’ll deliver engaging and purposeful customer-facing product communications, conceiving and producing high quality creative thought from brief to end user, and will approve content produced by others. Working closely with our key stakeholders, you’ll respond to a wide array of creative business asks internally.
You’ll be confident enough to contribute to the entire design, delivery and measurement process, ensuring the customer is at the forefront of everything we do. With digital being a key focus of our activity, you’ll be experienced in defining solutions across offline and online platforms & be on top of latest trends.
What you’ll be doing
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to understand the overall purpose of all outgoing product (customer-facing) communications.
- Challenging, producing, shaping and designing communications and messaging, often in partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring key messages are understood.
- Creating clear, transparent and persuasive messaging across all channels, ensuring alignment with our Argos Tone of Voice, the customer journey and supporting processes. You’ll also ensure full compliance with the legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Co-ordinating the actions of others (internal and external), to ensure timely delivery of consistent communications.
- Proof reading and quality control, ensuring output is accurate and of a high standard.
- Working closely with the team to ensure communications are delivered on time and within budget.
- Providing critical challenge where messaging is used to communicate complexities in product/process design.
- Providing advice and guidance alongside the review and sign-off of materials produced by other areas of the business (for example, telephony scripting within the Contact Centre).
- Supporting the business by writing copy as required in our Argos Tone of Voice, focusing on Plain English principles and supporting Consumer Duty regulations.
What you need to know and show
- Expert understanding of multi-channel communications.
- The ability to manage yourself, and others, on multiple projects and remain flexible, so to support any need for rapid response messaging.
- An excellent attention to detail, particularly when proof-reading.
- Be confident enough to review an existing piece of customer communication and talk through the modifications you would make to it and your rationale.
- Awareness of how to engage customers through creative content is important, so a qualification in advertising, communication/media, English, journalism, PR is desirable.
