Reporting directly to Stuart Hammonds, within our technology team, the UX Designer will play a critical role in the development of our technology and digital product capabilities. You will be working alongside the Product Managers for App and Web to develop industry-leading digital customer experiences that enable our customers to plan, book, enjoy, record and share their self-guided active travel.
This role is based out of our Glasgow city centre office, with the opportunity for hybrid working.

What you’ll do;
We are looking for a UX Designer with at least 2 years’ experience in the design and implementation of outstanding digital customer experiences, who can help to define and deliver a design framework and customer experience across our Apps and Website, that make Macs Adventure stand out from the competition and consolidate our position as the market leader in self-guided active travel.
You’ll be joining Macs Adventure with a passion for:
- Creating exceptional usability across our digital products that make Macs THE place people go to plan, book, enjoy, record and share self-guided active travel
- Delivering consistent, best in class user experiences, that make using our products seamless and engaging (e.g. App Navigation usability, Website performance).
What you’ll bring;
- An eye for brilliant UX design and the ability to research and conceptualise solutions that exceed customer and user expectation
- A passion for consistent, exceptional design that inspires the user across multiple products
- Experience of working alongside product managers in an Agile software development framework.
- You’ll have at least 2 years commercial experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role (either client or agency)
- High proficiency in graphic design, typography and design theory.
- Experience in establishing customer centric UX design ways of working.
- Expert in design software such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Knowledge of good design practice and trends across multiple platforms, including web and Native Apps.
Not essential, it would be a bonus if you;
- Travel industry experience in a related role
- Have a passion for active travel, walking or cycling
