The role will involve the management and delivery to:
- To assist and be accountable to the Head of Capital Services in delivering Major Capital Projects within budget, time and quality parameters.
- Manage the provision and control of design and/or project management services (consultant) relative to the planning and expenditure of the annual major capital programme of the Trust ensuring appropriate project management arrangements are in place.
- Contribute positively to the development and implementation of corporate strategies and policies including Estates Strategy in order to ensure the Trust meets its objectives.
- Develop/participate in the compilation of business cases, (short form, strategic, outline and full) as and when required.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking directorate delivering a role that offers very diverse requirements across a varied portfolio.
Working in a team, you will support the Head of Capital Services and the Capital Services Team with the mechanical and electrical construction quality outputs in major and minor block capital projects, minor works projects and delegated schemes. The post operates with in policy guidelines and in accordance with procedures of the Trust.
You will have:
- Educated to degree in building / engineering / construction project management with relevant experience.
- Registered or working towards membership of a professional body, e.g. Chartered Surveyor.
- Experience in construction project management and leadership.
- Managing multiple construction projects concurrently.
- Working in collaborative frameworks.
- Managing complex financial data associated with project management.
- Understanding of construction contracts including JCT and NEC suite
- Construction and building services project management
- Health and safety, risk management and legislation appertaining to construction
- Computer applications
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and political skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across a range of services and health community.
- Ability to function in a political, complex environment
- Able to analyse complex information and place same in a strategic context
- In-depth knowledge of numerical and analytical skills including analysis of data for national returns and KPI’s.
- Ability to assist with business case development.
- Car Driver as required to travel across Trust Sites
