Job Description
We are currently looking for dynamic individuals to join our Team of Lead coaches to work WEEKLY in Bangor from September.
Our Bangor classes run on SUNDAYS from 1230 - 330pm INDOORS.
(There may be scope to add further classes/days/locations over time.)
The desired coach needs to be flexible, passionate about sports, hold a driving license & have access to a car to transport equipment on Rugbytots days.
No coaching experience necessary, but we are looking for someone who is great with young children, enjoys being active, is dynamic, full of energy and enthusiasm, and not afraid to act silly and have lots of fun.
We provide full training, including time spent alongside an experienced coach, and also pay for paediatric first aid training for lead coaches, carry out Access N checks, and provide uniform and class kit.
Rugbytots offer fun, structured play sessions for children aged from 2 to 5 years old. Our coaches deliver sessions with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement, to create an atmosphere that is unique and engaging for children and parents alike. We do this by delivering our specifically designed programme for each age group in a fun, dramatic, and entertaining way, taking the children on a journey of sporting imagination whilst teaching them how to catch, pass kick and run with the ball and play as part of a team. The main objectives are for the children to have fun and grow in confidence during their time with us.
Lead Coach – main responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and engage with the children in your classes
- Work though the Rugbytots programme of games and tasks to teach the basic core skills used in rugby in a fun and structured environment
- Demonstrate games and skills with enthusiasm and energy, and provide positive feedback to the children
- Plan the sessions, ensure class start and finish on time, and engage with parents
Driving license required Storing kit at home

Please also note that an Access NI check will need to be completed by successful applicants.
Desirable attributes:
- Experience of working with young children and/or previous coaching experience. This is desirable but not essential for somebody with the personality we are looking for.
- A passion for sports (ideally rugby but not essential)
- Excellent organisational, communication and listening skills.
- An extremely outgoing personality who can keep children entertained.
- If available, be able to cover other or additional Rugbytots classes in emergencies etc.
Part-time hours: 3+ Hours per week

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 1.5 per week
Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
