Relationship Manager – Private Bank

In this role, you will:
- In line with annual targets, grow and service a portfolio of Family Office clients.
- Position the Family Office service and other relevant investment solutions to high net worth Families and prospects – specifically, custody, lending, discretionary, structured products and private equity.
- Develop and deepen relationships with ultra-high net worth clients and their families to grow AUM and profitability.
- Will be accountable for assessing client needs to provide private banking family office services to UHNW families – sometimes with the help of an Investment Counsellor.
- Job holder will develop positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, Compliance and Risk where appropriate to improve client’s portfolios and align with the risk profile.
- This is a role very much focused on growing safely – so ultimately, exceed annual financial targets of Net New Money, Net Discretionary and Revenue without any investment sales suitability issues.
- Initially 100% business development to win and then service new Family Office business with the assistance of the Guernsey support team.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Level 6 investment qualified or within 12 months of start date – essential
- Experience of onboarding complex Trust, Corporate and Foundation structures, including documentation requirements, UBO source of wealth and relevant tax documents.
- Knowledge of custody, lending and execution only trading, essential.
- Evidence of attracting and managing complex UHNW families and their Family Offices.
- Evidence and experience of exceeding key financial targets: Net new money, Net discretionary, Net lending, Net revenue increase YoY.
- Five years’ recent experience, providing investment advice to HNW clients, (preferable).
- Experience of building a Credit book of private clients, Trusts and corporates – experience of how to position Lombard credit.
- Experience of managing a private client portfolio and evidence of how you grew your portfolio.
- Evidence of developing an external Network (Tax accountants/Trustees/Lawyers) to generate referred PB business.
- Ability to multitask whilst adapting to changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills and an ethical mindset.
