The Department of Psychology is an outward-facing Department that embraces interdisciplinary work, particularly within the broad theme of Health and well-being, and pushes the boundaries of psychological knowledge regionally, nationally and internationally. We continue to build on our research strengths after our first REF submission in 2021 and in our teaching strengths by training the next generation of 'Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners' at the behest of the NHS and we continue to broaden our suite of programmes in psychology.

We are currently seeking two 'Graduate Teaching Assistants to provide support in our teaching and learning activities. Applications from all areas of psychology will be considered. Successful applicants will have a degree in Psychology and some experience and/or potential for teaching undergraduates and postgraduates and will have potential for excellent research. They will be supported to develop teaching and excellent research by our mentoring provision offered by well-qualified and experienced senior staff.

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr. Paul Sullivan, Head of Department of Psychology ([email protected]) and Professor Peter Mitchell ([email protected]), Head of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences
