What You Will Do:
-
Be a subject matter expert in the area of corrosion inhibition in the oil and gas industry.
- Adhere to company safety practices and set a good example of safety culture.
- Help our customers and sales team to troubleshoot problems associated with corrosion.
- Act as a mentor to the team and help to train and guide newer members.
- Discuss and draft corrosion inhibitor testing protocols to support recommendations and be able to carry out the necessary laboratory work to justify recommendations.
- Presenting results, findings and recommendations to customers is expected.

A desire to expand knowledge and capacity through the design and implementation of fundamental research projects as well as publishing the learnings when possible.

Expand ChampionX capability based on the latest information available in the industry.
Minimum Qualifications:

PhD and 7 yrs experience
-
Experience in a senior research role

Experience with oilfield corrosion inhibitor applications

Good working knowledge of linear polarization resistance “bubble” tests, rotating cylinder electrodes and rotating coupon autoclaves.
- Good written and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of oxygen scavengers and biocides.
- Experience with high pressure rotating cylinder electrode for preferential weld corrosion.
