Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
FX Operations are recruiting for a Director to join the Trade Support group (TSG) responsible for supporting London FX Sales and Trading desks part of the Fixed Income Derivative (FID) department. This position is based in the London office. Our client base is comprised of Trading and Sales who support Corporate, Hedge Fund, Central Bank and Asset Management businesses in addition to trades transacted on behalf of Prime Brokerage clients and other business units including Equities, Private Wealth Management, Commodities and Interest Rates.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all risk is fully monitored and mitigated throughout the FX trade flow from front to back. This involves:
- Working closely with Sales & trading on trade capture, allocations, amendments, and give-ups and supporting clients to resolve trade processing queries,
- Performing critical business delegated functions such as FX Compressions & Optimization activities and FX funding to ensure distribution of funds across MS entities/FX accounts to meet all contractual settlement obligations for FX business.
- Partnering with the FX Front-to-bank functional teams across Operations & Technology to ensure timely and incident-free trade processing through post-execution operations.
- Supporting global FX Change team and Technology partners with RTB expertise for successful delivery of the multi-year FX Technology renovation F2B agenda.
- Providing oversight, training expertise and regional leadership within the EMEA FX Trade Support team.
- Providing investigative expertise and support to cross-operations teams such as Product Control, Regulatory reporting, Collateral, Client Clearing and Cash Management operations to resolve exceptions arising from FX & broader FID trading activities.
- Collaborating with other business support areas such as Legal & Compliance, Credit, Finance & Risk Management to support delivery of business goals and new product development initiatives
