Are you an aspiring, or inspired Principal Clinical Psychologist? Are you looking for a change of direction? Do you want to launch yourself as a leader into the world of criminal justice in South Yorkshire? Does supervising and developing keen and motivated psychology assistants give you job satisfaction? Are you up for a challenge? If so, this role might be just the one for you.
We work with an extremely vulnerable group of individuals aged 18+ who have often experienced trauma in their lives and have already entered the criminal justice system. Our aims are to increase the use of Mental Health Treatment Requirements within the Criminal Justice Service. To improve health outcomes. To prevent people entering a custodial setting and have a goal to reduce reoffending. Key partners we work alongside are the HMCTS, The National Probation Service, Local Criminal Justice Board, and Substance Misuse colleagues within Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Barnsley. There is 50% national coverage of the pilot CSTR project so far, and whoever is successful are invited to link in with these colleagues across the country and will be able to access regular clinical supervision from within the Trust. Outcomes gathered so far are showing this project is having a positive impact for service users and their health.
